Interactive Method of Communication --for English learning purpose In western countries, people have a modern English learning method--Interactive Method of Communication, which comprises four unique and interrelated parts. In the first place, learning English mostly based on the Cultural Background，which includes the consented beliefs, values and customs, in those English-speaking countries, such as the U.S, U.K, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, etc. According to this, the learners may have a deeper understanding of English, not only the grammar focus and language patterns. In short, cultural background understanding is the starting point of English learning. In the second place, the interactive method of communication involving Eliminating the Power Difference in the class, where each one in the class has equal position besides the teacher. That is, the teachers are not superiors, who have more power and can ask the students to do as what he or she wants them to do. He or she just is the organizer with garuantee to make the class in harmony, not the master of the class. Meanwhile, the teacher treats each student fairly, without any gender discrimination, culture discrimination or other biases. In sum, equal position gives the English learners more courage, energy and self-confidence to interact with both the teacher and their class fellows. Moreover, the core of the interactive method of communication is Communication, which motivates and stimulates the English learners. The teacher, the organizer of the class, who combines the learning of speaking, reading, listening, writing and grammar focus, presents many techniques to motivate the whole class. These techniques contain games, jokes, telling tales, interviews, debates, pair works, role-plays and other activities. In terms of those activities, the English learners know how to communicate with a specific person, how to communicate within a small group, even how to do well in a business negotiation. Consequently, scholars in English learning have considered communication is the fantastic way to learn English. The fourth part of the interactive method of communication is Imagination and Creativity, which acts as the improvement and sublimation of the interactive method of communication. Based on the previous three parts, English learners have learned several skills of English, including listening, reading, writing and oral English.
